I was surprised by how much I liked the new formula as someone who wasn't able to use the old formula as my skin was too dehydrated. This foundation sits beautifully on the skin and lasts all day without any creasing or cracking. The coverage can be built up to a medium. I would say it has a soft matte finish. It doesn't cling to any of my dry patches, and other products sit beautifully on top. I used the online colour matching service and didn't get a good colour match, so I wouldn't recommend that! Estee Lauder have created a new generation of Double Wear. This foundation has and amazing 36 hour colour-true-wear that means at the end of the day your foundation looks as good as the moment you put it on. With a modern matte finish that feels weightless on your skin. It felt like I wasn't even wearing foundation. The foundation didn't crease, cake or settle into fine lines and wrinkles which kept it looking good all day. Locked in hydration means my skin maintains moisture for up to 72 hours and meant it wasn't dry and caking. Start light and build it up if you need or want to. You can create your own level of cover.
