I work at Adore, I'm using this disclaimer where I don't own this perfume but I've tested it often enough that I feel I can talk about it.
So you know a bit about me, I managed the scent room project, I'm not an expert but I'm a big perfume nerd... to the tune of having a perfume spreadsheet. I just like talking about perfumes!
On to the review:
This is the first fig fragrance ever! How interesting is that, especially now that there are so many fragrances featuring fig notes now. Gotta start by saying I dont wear fragrances that feature fruit notes. Obviously that massively impacts my interpretation of this.
Technically speaking this is a brilliant fragrance - it does smell like fresh figs, almost more like just before figs are ripe. So there's a kind of green element to this, but at the same time I get interesting almond milk notes.
Figs themselves are fairly rich and heady, and the fragrance itself follows suit. For me, this could be headache inducing especially in the first five minutes, however overall it's complex and interesting. I'd be delighted to smell this on someone with different chemistry to me - my skin always brings out sweeter notes which is why I tend to avoid fruity fragrances.
